Ages 2-5 with parent/caregiver
Enjoy this fast-paced musical activity emphasizing singing, instrument play, movement and internalization of steady beat. Musical play with young children can build impulse control skills, fine motor skills, increase vocabulary, pre-math skills and much more. Children are introduced to percussion and folk instruments in addition to familiar rhythm instruments.
I am in my 3rd year of teaching with MacPhail Center for Music. I have also taught classes at Austin Public Schools, ECFE-Austin, Wee Learning Center and Apple Lane. I like working with students ages 6 weeks-8 years old. I graduated from Maranatha Baptist University where I worked for fiver years to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Music Education, and earned a music teacher's certification through the Music Teacher's National Association. My philosophy is that music should be an enjoyable learning experience for everyone, and I look for fun and enjoyable ways for children to learn the foundations of music.
