Our day trips are organized in collaboration with Austin, Owatonna, and Waseca Community Educations, as well as the Albert Lea Senior Center. Experience a day full of adventure with a relaxing bus ride, eliminating the need for driving.

This 2-day volleyball camp for incoming 9th-12th grade students offers a variety of skill-building opportunities for players of all levels. Athletes will focus on key skills such as serving, passing, attacking, and setting, while also developing both offensive and defensive systems. The camp includes position-specific training, allowing players to refine their skills and techniques in a challenging yet fun environment. Whether you’re a beginner or a high-level player, the camp is designed to help you elevate your game with expert coaching and competitive play.
About Joe Getzin
Joe Getzin, head coach of Winona State volleyball, has a strong background in both collegiate and high school volleyball, with over 30 years of coaching experience. He led the Warriors to one of their best seasons in 2021, with a 28-5 record, runner-up finishes in the NSIC regular season and tournament, and an NCAA tournament appearance. His coaching accomplishments include several seasons with 20+ wins, NCAA tournament berths, and academic honors for his players.
Getzin's extensive experience includes 12 seasons at Ole Miss, where he turned the program around and led them to three NCAA tournament appearances. Known for his recruiting skills and in-game strategy, Getzin has helped numerous players earn All-American honors, both athletically and academically. His success as a coach and mentor extends to his ability to improve individual player skills and lead teams to competitive success.
With over 30 years of coaching experience, Getzin’s expertise in recruiting, in-game strategy, and player development will help elevate the skills of 9-12 grade girls, both individually and as a team. His focus on discipline, teamwork, and performance will provide a strong foundation for students to excel in volleyball at a high level.
