Tiger Cub Child Care is available to children ages six weeks through Preschool age, providing we can meet the needs of that child. We follow the District #241 school calendar and operate from 6:45 a.m. - 5:15 p.m.

Drivers aged 55 and above are encouraged to sign up for our defensive driving courses. These sessions will help you enhance your driving skills and develop a fresh understanding of traffic safety.
The courses will address financial obligations, future planning, budgeting, income, career development, spending habits, credit management, saving, and investments.
Our day trips are organized in collaboration with Austin, Owatonna, and Waseca Community Educations, as well as the Albert Lea Senior Center. Experience a day full of adventure with a relaxing bus ride, eliminating the need for driving.

Our recreation experiences teaches you skills through hands on learning.
For parents of 0-5 year olds.This interactive class will help parents and caregivers guide their child through the potty-training process. Whether you’re just getting started or need support overcoming challenges, this class provides practical tools, proven strategies, and reassurance every step of the way. You’ll learn about your child’s readiness signals for potty training, potty training methods, positive reinforcement techniques and support to help your child conquer potty training.
If your child is currently enrolled in one of our PreK-3 or PreK-4 classes, you can join this class for free! To receive the no-cost option, just give us a call at 507-379-5318—we’re happy to help get you signed up!

Hello, my name is Mary Jo Volkman, ECFE Parent Educator at Brookside School. For 29 years I have worked with families attending classes at ECFE teaching Babies, Toddlers & Twos, 3-5’s, Special Topic Parenting Classes, and Special Events. I will always treasure the memories I have made helping families with their children, meeting wonderful friends, and associating with my co-workers. I am looking forward to creating more wonderful memories and teaching experiences this school year!
