Tiger Cub Child Care is available to children ages six weeks through Preschool age, providing we can meet the needs of that child. We follow the District #241 school calendar and operate from 6:45 a.m. - 5:15 p.m.

Drivers aged 55 and above are encouraged to sign up for our defensive driving courses. These sessions will help you enhance your driving skills and develop a fresh understanding of traffic safety.
The courses will address financial obligations, future planning, budgeting, income, career development, spending habits, credit management, saving, and investments.
Our day trips are organized in collaboration with Austin, Owatonna, and Waseca Community Educations, as well as the Albert Lea Senior Center. Experience a day full of adventure with a relaxing bus ride, eliminating the need for driving.

For caregivers of 0-5 year olds. This is a Parent Education class, please register your child for Sibling Care if they’ll be joining you. We’ll also have lunch available for the little ones.
Deadline to register is 4 days before class begins.
Join us for Lunch Club, a relaxed monthly parenting group where we share a healthy meal and conversation. Each session includes a nutritious Blue Zones lunch followed by a guided discussion on relevant parenting topics such as routines, child development, self-care, and managing everyday stress. It’s a chance to nourish both your body and your mind while connecting with other caregivers. Whether you're looking for new ideas or just a break in your day, Lunch Club is a space to recharge and grow together.

Hello, my name is Mary Jo Volkman, ECFE Parent Educator at Brookside School. I’ve had the joy of supporting families through Early Childhood Family Education for over 30 years. During that time, I’ve led a variety of classes—from Babies and Toddlers to 3–5s, special topic parenting sessions, and family events. It’s been a true privilege to walk alongside parents and caregivers during these important early years, forming lasting connections and witnessing the growth of so many children. I look forward to creating even more meaningful memories in the year ahead!
