This course focuses on evaluating whether a business idea is realistic, sustainable, and worth pursuing. Participants will learn how to assess market demand, analyze competition, estimate costs and revenue, and identify potential risks. Key tools include basic market research techniques, break-even analysis, and feasibility checklists commonly used by entrepreneurs and investors. The course emphasizes practical decision-making, helping participants avoid costly mistakes and refine their ideas before launch. By the end of the course, learners will have completed a structured feasibility assessment for their own business concept and gained confidence in determining whether to proceed, pivot, or abandon an idea.
I bring extensive academic and real-world experience in entrepreneurship, marketing, and business strategy. As an Associate Professor of Business Administration, I teach courses in marketing, entrepreneurship, consumer behavior, and integrated marketing communications. I have developed curriculum that helps people generate business ideas, evaluate feasibility, and create practical marketing plans.
I am passionate about teaching these subjects because they give people the tools and confidence to turn ideas into real opportunities. I enjoy making complex concepts simple, practical, and approachable, especially for those who may not see themselves as business people.
I also have broad teaching experience across many settings, including two-year and four-year colleges, both private and public, as well as teaching in China and South Korea. In addition, I have teaching and leadership experience as a Second Lieutenant in the Civil Air Patrol.
