I bring 10 years of experience helping people navigate the often overwhelming world of nursing homes and rehab facilities. I am passionate about making a difficult and unfamiliar experience feel less intimidating by sharing practical guidance and encouragement. Through my own experiences supporting family and friends in more than a dozen facilities across the United States, I have gained valuable insight and a strong desire to help others feel more prepared.
I am also very comfortable teaching and speaking to groups. I ran the SPAM Museum for 10 years, where we welcomed more than 100,000 visitors annually. In that role, I hosted tours, spoke at conferences, and presented to thousands of people, including senior groups and nursing home residents. While I have not taught this specific class before, I am excited to bring both my personal knowledge and public speaking experience to the Community Education setting.
