I began my Taekwondo journey in 2016 under the late Master Lee Bird. When he fell seriously ill in 2021, I stepped in to lead the class and earned my probationary black belt in 2022. That same year, I launched a new class in Lake Mills, Iowa, followed by a second class in Albert Lea in partnership with the YMCA. With growing interest, we’ve since expanded to a permanent location, now home to Maricle Martial Arts in downtown Albert Lea.
I continue to train under Grand Master Randy Milhan of Kick USA Karate and have competed in numerous tournaments. Teaching since 2021, I’m passionate about helping others realize their potential—there’s nothing better than watching students grow in confidence and achieve their goals. I also believe in giving back and love the strength we build when our martial arts community comes together to serve others.
