Sweet Treats Series: Mini Donuts, Ice Cream & Cake Cookies

Adult Enrichment / Food/Cooking -
Summer 2025

Treat yourself to a three-part dessert series designed for those who love to learn and sample sweet creations. The first two sessions are demonstration-style, where you’ll watch the instructor make both dairy and dairy-free ice cream and mini donuts, followed by a taste test of each. The final class is hands-on—roll up your sleeves and make your own batch of soft, chewy cake cookies to take home. Whether you join one class or all three, you’ll leave with new tips, tricks, and recipes to try in your own kitchen. A great way to enjoy a fun, low-pressure evening with a sweet reward at the end!

Allergy Information:

  • Only the vanilla ice cream is allergen-free.
  • Cookies and donuts contain common allergens (gluten, soy, eggs, nuts, dairy).

Bonnie M Townsend

I've been making ice cream for over 20 years—a skill I learned by watching my mother. On March 2, 2020, I took a leap and started my own company because I knew I had a gift for creating innovative products, especially when it comes to ice cream.

Throughout my journey, I earned my food manager certification, which qualifies me to teach both cooking and proper kitchen sanitation. I even went as far as inventing and patenting my own ice cream, and to date, I’ve developed over 300 flavors—and I’m still counting!

I own a commercial soft serve machine and a mini donut press, which I use to teach others how to make both soft-serve ice cream and mini donuts. I’ve also created a dairy-free ice cream line and a sugar-free option for diabetic children and others who need it—because I want everyone to feel seen and included.

I’m a disabled business owner, and I’m passionate about sharing what I’ve learned. I enjoy helping others—especially those who want to start a business but don’t have the resources. I do a lot of research and pride myself on being resourceful.

I’m excited for this new opportunity to show people how fun, creative, and simple dessert-making can be!
