Wax Paper Lanterns


Youth Enrichment -
Summer 2025

Make an enchanting lantern from crayons, waxed paper and craft sticks. A battery operated tea light will be included with your project to take home so you can see your creation shine! (Adults may stay and help with ironing for this project.) All materials provided.

Amber Mattson

Hello. My name is Amber Mattson. I have taught children of all ages in a variety of capacities including teaching, youth organizations such as 4-H, church groups, etc., community ed classes and volunteer work.

I currently work at the Parenting Resource Center in Austin, MN, as the Family Support Services Coordinator. In my spare time I like to read, garden, go camping, play games, cross stitch and hang out at home with my husband and two cats. 

Jessica Tovar

Hi, my name is Jessi Tovar and I am a Preschool Educational Assistant for the Albert Lea School District. Throughout my career, I have worked with children of all ages, from birth to 5th grade, in various settings, including after-school programs, Community Education classes, and as a nanny and PCA.

In my spare time, I love spending time with my two sons and engaging in activities like word finds, crafts, reading, and playing games. I also enjoy exploring new places with my lifelong friends.
