Next Level Pierogi: Festive Fillings and Dough

Start a new holiday tradition or build on one as you learn to create your own FESTIVE PIEROGI for the holidays and the whole year through. When registering for this fun filled virtual class you are signing up to learn how to make a variety of homemade doughs and a variety of fillings for the pierogi that will make your taste buds dance for joy; continue to read for details. We will also be learning how to cook, and freeze these little dumplings that you can make ahead and store for a rainy day. No fancy equipment needed. All recipes from this class will be received! Purchasing frozen pierogi will become a thing of the past and you will wonder why you had not learned how to create these delicious dumplings before! Cook-along option: Participants will be invited to cook-along and create a classic pierogi dough along with the instructor’s next-level potato and cheese filling, and her wonderful festive REUBEN filling as well! Demonstration included: In addition to the cook-along options above, our instructor will demonstrate how she creates festive GREEN dough, and will describe how to create a bright pink one with pure natural ingredients. She will also demonstrate how she creates additional Festive fillings including her mushroom filling with mouthwatering umami flavor, and her fun pizza filling as well! Participants will be able to use these techniques to create their own pierogi during the holidays or any time of year! Participants will receive a list of ingredients in advance of the class to allow with enough time for shopping and preparation for the cook-along. A professionally made PDF packet of the Instructors Personal Recipes from this class will also be received. This class will take place on Zoom or Microsoft TEAMS: free on-line software. Participants will receive instructions on how to access the class prior to it starting. Create a family tradition and make lasting memories in your kitchen by including your children or significant others for this amazing class! Have your questions answered by the instructor, and interact with other participants as you cook-along. While cooking-along is loads of fun, it is optional. As an added bonus, the instructor has created a private group and a public group on Facebook for participants of her cooking classes. Everyone will receive an invite to the groups although joining is optional. Come join the fun! Note: One registration fee for this on-line Virtual class can include participants from the same household only. If children are participating, adult supervision is required.

Tess Georgakopoulos

Tess Georgakopoulos, also known as “Chef Tess—Culinary Artist”, has been cooking and baking for well over 45 years since she was roughly 6 years old. Born into a Greek family, the art of cooking traditional meals using ones senses rather than recipes and measurements was passed on from one generation to the next. Her father was also a trained chef who brought the magic of food to life in another form on the weekends as they cooked elaborate family meals together. Food prepared from the heart, with ones own hands and creativity was, and continues to be an expression of love in her home. As an accomplished cook and baker, Tess enjoys creating original recipes for her family and friends. Sweet, savory, or doughy, she enjoys experimenting and creating in the kitchen daily. Tess is proficient and experienced in creating classes and curriculum for conventional cooking, baking, pressure-cooking, air frying, pizza making, Mediterranean Cooking, and meal preparation as well. A Culinary Artist indeed! She has been teaching both in-person and on-line cooking classes through community education for a number of years having worked with over 30 public school districts in and around the Twin Cities, in many corners of Minnesota, in addition to school districts in Wisconsin, Missouri, and Arizona. Through her teaching, Tess has helped people of all skill levels increase their confidence and expand their skills in the kitchen reaching heights of their own personal creativity that they never new existed!  Always working towards expanding her culinary repertoire, Tess enjoys spending much of her free time in her test kitchen creating new recipes and reinventing traditional ones using traditional cooking methods and new cooking appliances such as, the Instant Pot® and Air Fryers too.  Tess has recently started writing her first cookbook, and her food blog is also in the works!
